Doris Zavala
In September 5, 2001, Doris Zavala died of eclampsia at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA while giving birth to her first child. She was 23.
A native of El Salvador, she moved to Santa Cruz in 1997, where she worked for three years at an international company with a California central coast office.
She is survived by her newborn son, Kevin Zavala; her father, Jose Zavala of Santa Cruz; her sisters, Guadalupe and Rosibel Zavala, both of Santa Cruz; and five brothers and two sisters who live in El Salvador.
She was buried in El Salvador.
